PDZ1i (113B7) is a specific inhibitor of MDA-9/Syntenin activity, which inhibits the binding of MDA-9/Syntenin to EGFRvIII. It selectively binds to the PDZ1 domain of MDA-9/Syntenin with micromolar affinity and has no affinity to the PDZ2 domain. MDA - 9 / Syntenin; Reduced invasion gain of GBM cells after radiation, inhibited key GBM signal transduction involved in FAK and mutant EGFR, EGFRvIII, and eliminated increased secretion of proteases MMP-2 and MMP-9 after radiation; Results in smaller, less invasive tumors and enhanced survival in vivo glioma models.
