DDD 85646 is a potent and specific double NMT1/NMT2 inhibitor with IC50 of 17 nM/22 nM, respectively. Inhibition of myristicylation of overexpressed protein constructs by cell-based microscopy; There was no significant effect on protein synthesis in cells. Complete inhibition of n-myristylation in 1-10μM cells; Induces ER stress, cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in cancer cells.
