LOC14 is a protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) inhibitor (EC50=500 nM; Kd = 62 nM). LOC14 showed high stability, low internal microsomal clearance and low plasma protein binding in mouse liver microsomes and plasma. LOC14 inhibits PDIA3 activity and reduces intramolecular disulfide bonds and subsequent oligomerization of HA in lung epithelial cells.
